New Favorite Podcast: Unstyled
Refinery29 co-founder and editor in chief, Christine Barberich, has a highly entertaining new podcast, Unstyled. We stumbled on it when we were scrolling through Refinery's Money Diaries series, (one of our favorite peeks into how Millennials spend money). Besides being articulate, smart and witty, Barberich hosts a mélange of cool and bright guests. The flow of the podcast is natural and unforced. It's like listening in on your friends chatting. Our favorite episode so far is with Stacy London - style, ageism in America, (especially around not being married or having kids), and being comfortable in your own skin. While style and lifestyle content may be Barberich's day-to-day, Unstyled offers something beyond Refinery29 which admittedly appeals most to a younger, Millennial demographic, (we still read it even though we are on the older end of the Millennial category). Barberich has masterfully created a platform that women and men of all ages can listen to. As an unrelated aside, Christine has a GORGEOUS home, featured in Lonny Mag in Fall 2016. It's refreshingly unique, devoid of trends, rather filled with items and style choices that you can tell genuinely reflect Christine and her husband's delicious cosmopolitan tastes.
Back to the podcast - in 2017 we need diverse, smart women discussing real topics. Thank goodness Barberich and her team are present and tracking issues that matter in a way that is inclusive and with a sense of humor. We should all be so lucky to be Unstyled.
