#Busy - Streamline Your Life
In an era of multi-tasking, there never seems to be enough time to do anything. Here are three services that can make your life a little easier, all from the convenience of your smartphone.
The days of getting into your car and driving to a "big box" store are far from over, but who wants to spend hours "running errands" on the weekend? We were thrilled to hear about Boxed, a membership-free, delivery service for wholesale items. Yes, your groceries, household and personal care goods, delivered straight to your door. Though the service opened in 2013, we first heard about the company on one of our favorite podcasts, "Fast Forward", with Jo Ling Kent. We were intrigued by the CEO's promise to pay for his employees' kids to go to college. That's an extraordinary commitment! Saving time and money on bulk-order goods seems like a win-win.
Remember that designer shirt you were given for your birthday and never wore? Enter TheRealReal, authenticated luxury consignment. You can buy and consign designer wares, all on your smartphone. Your eyes may pop as you see some designer heavy-weights (Oscar de la Renta!!!). If you want to consign items, you can request a free consigner kit. In certain areas, the service picks up 10 or more items with a White Glove service. We parted ways with a pair of Missoni flats and a Tibi dress that have gone onto happy homes. Clean out your closet and earn some cash while you do it. Then, you can finally Marie Kondo your life.
Amazon is GREAT...when you know exactly what you are looking for. But, what about when you scroll through a category to find a gift or a new piece of furniture? It can be overwhelming. All hail Love The Edit. It's a brilliant concept. The team peruses and edits Amazon down into well-edited lists. The best part, wait for it, the site is fully integrated with Amazon! You can shop and fill your cart on Love The Edit and then checkout, as per usual, with Amazon. So clever.
