Don't Be Shy - Display Your Holiday Cards
Snail mail excites us. In an era of emails and digital cards, it seems extra-special to receive a card in the mail, particularly for the holidays, birthdays and other life events. We love displaying the cards we receive, but we know it's not for everyone. We are particularly into it because our parents used to display cards from all over the world in our library growing up.
And then there are people firmly in the opposite camp. One of our dearest friends once bemoaned the number of cards in the December to January time-frame and told us, categorically, that she promptly tosses them in the garbage. We get it - displaying cards is not for everyone. In fact, not everyone has time to do an elaborate D.I.Y. operation to make a card display bring its Pinterest "A" game. We were recently reading a favorite magazine which told us to go out and get a festive branch to assemble the holiday card display with ribbon to then hang the cards from the branch (after you attached it to the wall with 3M Command hooks). We stopped reading the D.I.Y. operation. It was too much effort.
So, what is a busy person, who is short on time, but wants to create an homage to the season's salutations, to do? We've rounded up some of our quick-to-assemble, holiday card display choices. Use what you already have in your home to celebrate and honor the friends and family that send season's greetings your way. Tape, your tree, your bulletin board, and your holiday wrapping ribbon can come in very handy. Save time and money, and make your home look festive. Click the pictures to study the details.
