Life Guru: Yogi Berra
This past September we lost a gem of the baseball world, Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra. Luckily for us, not only does his baseball legacy live on, but "Yogisms" do too. Read below for some of our favorite Yogi sayings. Mrs. Malaprop would be so proud.
"If the world were perfect, it wouldn’t be."
"Never answer an anonymous letter."
"You don’t have to swing hard to hit a home run. If you got the timing, it’ll go."
"It ain’t over till it’s over."
"When you come to a fork in the road, take it."
"You give 100 percent in the first half of the game. And if that isn't enough, in the second half, you give what's left."
"I don’t know (if they were men or women fans running naked across the field). They had bags over their heads."
"If you don't know where you're going, you might end up some place else."
"It was impossible to get a conversation going, everybody was talking too much."
"I never said most of the things I said."
"No one goes there nowadays, it’s too crowded."
"The future ain’t what it used to be."
"It’s déjà vu all over again."
